     Over centuries Lao people have been cultivating rice and growing organic vegetables. Laos is dominated by mountains, forests and subsistence agriculture. The rhythm of life is strongly tied to the changing seasons and the requirements of farming. Today Laos still relies on this farming and agriculture, Lao people's life style is still preserved. You can experience something of this lifestyle while you visit Laos.

Day 1: Arrival – Luang Prabang – Half Day city tour (D)
Welcome by your guide and driver, then transfer to hotel to freshen up. Bicycles to see some of the highlights of Luang Prabang: the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts from the Royal period in Luang Prabang, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of WatVisoun and the shrine of WatAham. Free in the evening to explore the town and night market or relax at the hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – KuangSi Waterfall - Pak Ou Caves (B,L,D)
After breakfast, coachtrip to KuangSi Waterfalls, stop en route to visit the morning Phousi Market, where all locals of Luang Prabang used to do their daily shopping.  You will see a variety of local foodstuffs and products including dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, fish, vegetables and fruit, everything needed for daily life in Laos.
Arrival at the KuangSii Falls, you will have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Sanctuary. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch below the falls.
Upon return to Luang Prabang, boarding on your private boat for a pleasant and scenic cruise up the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues left there over hundreds of years.
Back  to Luang Prabang, after disembarkment, option between a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving /or/ back to hotel to relax. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Living Land Farm (B,L,D)
AM: coachtrip to Living Land Farm, a working community farm aprroximately 5kms outside the town. There you will learn all about the rice growing process and have an opportunity to participate in seasonal farm activities such as identifying viable rice seeds, ploughing with a buffalo, hand planting, weeding and harvesting rice and threshing rice seed.
You may pick vegetables from the organic garden or catch fish to cook for your natural, organic lunch where you can sample a variety of local rice products.
Back to Luang Prabang. Option: participate to a local petangue game and enjoy a few Lao Beer, experience a spa treatment or massage /or/ just relax at the hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Departure (B)
Free time for leisure before transfer to international airport for departure. (B)
