Today, Vietnam boasts a large number of international 5 star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from the French colonial architecture of Caravelle Saigon or Sofitel Metropole Hanoi to the modern Legend hotel Saigon or Hilton Opera Hanoi.

Four- star and even five-star hotels are available in most cities such as Dalat, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Hoi An, Ha Long, Sapa, Chau Doc, Can Tho, and standard hotels (2 or 3 stars) spread in many localities from the North to the South. However, it should be expected that the quality and standard services of hotels in the provinces may not be as good as those in major tourist destinations such as Hanoi, Sapa, Ha Long, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh city, etc,
